though mexican horchata is most common in the u.s., the original recipe (made with tiger nuts) became popular in spain around the 13th century. its true origins, however, date back to 2400 bc in north africa.
What is it?
created as a cool treat for super hot days, horchata is a sweet and creamy drink reminiscent of rice pudding.
